We’re excited to welcome you this season as a visiting artist.

Our small group residencies will take place once a month in the fall, winter, and spring.

Please let us know your preferred dates as soon as possible, so that we may confirm your spot.

Our hope is that artist residents will find mutual inspiration and meet organically. Of course, you are entirely free to spend your time as you choose.

  • We’re planning to offer short sessions of 2-4 days at our Lorca Adirondacks location in Sabael, New York. We will open the residency Monday-Thurs for groups of 3-4 artists, and you may select days that fit your schedule Monday-Thursday.

  • Lorca Adirondacks is a reimagined motel with a main lodge. There are eight rooms at the motel. The lodge tends to be rented separately.

    We hope to develop a larger shared studio space in the future. At present, work space is limited: the motel rooms, the outdoors, and nearby culture centers are the main places to create. That said, the surrounding nature is incredible, and includes a 50-mile perimeter lake dotted with ten islands, and incredible mountain hikes.

  • A car is required to access the property, area necessities, and local attractions. You may of course share transportation by applying with friends; for those arriving separately, the Trailways Bus reaches nearby towns, e.g., Glens Falls.
